after further studying Dr. Haidar Bagir in his book "Islam Tuhan Islam Manusia" is very interesting to discuss the title term of this book.
Islam is divided into two, namely Islam in the auspices of God and Islam in a
relative human perspective. this term raises different interpretations of the
meaning of the term, in addition to a writer is quite simple to describe the
term for humans who tend to always relativize interpretation but are reluctant
to accept other relativity over its interpretation of Islam.
and here is the problem, that is, in human islam. indeed the most true and
absolute Islam is the originating or in the side of God, as in the Quran
explains "The religion of Allah which is on the side of Allah is
Islam", there is an Islam that is in the hand of God revealed to man
through His prophet and after this process the transformation of Islam becomes
relative, or Islam in the ordinary human perspective is often termed with the
sect.
is not a problem if Islam is interpreted through a sect, it is Islam
because of its greatness embracing all the relative truths of human beings,
such as Jalaluddin Rumi's expression that "God's truth is like a mirror,
and the mirror falls to earth into a diverse fraction". Indeed, the truth
of God is vast, but with the relative interpretation of humanity the truth of
God then becomes narrow.
through the phenomenon of this interpretation of relativity, of course the
mujtahids are entitled to interpret Islamic texts in any way as Ibn Arabi says,
"the interpretation of the scripture can be as numerous as the number of
people born from the prophet Adam to the doomsday". so of course the
interpretation or ijtihad of a person on the text of the Qur'an becomes right
over him. because the truth of God is very wide.
however, through the relative interpretation of some scholars or Muslim
scholars or also certain groups are now fanatical with their own
interpretations, in some cases tend to blame, disbelieve, even accuse the
heresy of another school that is inconsistent with the way in which it is
interpreted over Islam. this is what is called takfirism. namely to mutually
reject and vilify another interpretation that is different from the group or
its interpretation. Islam is now narrow. God is now small.
on the tendency of takfirism that menggorogoti unity of ummah, maybe takfirism
it is product or teach Islam of God? thus we are able to accept or even reject
the phenomenon of takfirism is quite popular among the ummah. by studying the
important teachings of Islam, namely Tawheed, making everything is a unity that
comes from God. this is obviously Takfirism is not the doctrine of god.
religion is sent to man for the needs of man himself to achieve happiness
without knowing the status and class in society. if takfirism is a doctrine
that is hostile to fellow creatures of God certainly this is not a part of the
goal of religion is revealed.
by understanding the essence and purpose of religion descended on humans,
it must be understood that religious people will always bring happiness to
other human beings whatever their school and class. this would be the command
and the purpose of the religion is revealed, instead of becoming a terrorist or
spreader of threats and fears because of the difference of interpretation and
our way to God.
we need to understand what kind of religion and shari'a? we are one
religion, but with the Shari'a we differ the way to God. God's way is so wide
and straight, so the relativity of interpretation is very likely to be on that
straight path. difference is the original product of god to every creature so
that we can understand other differences.
Today, the ill-fated disease is not only practiced by lay people, but it is
also practiced by scholars and scholars who claim to be the ones who return to
the true essence of god. no matter how long a beard, and how long his surban
is, he does not have the right to carry out his way of interpretation to
another group in the way he understands religion. because God never gave us a
mandate to be able to interpret and blame other groups freely. this is of
course the duty and responsibility of God for his hamb, rather than the task
and human roles.
Through this reading, it is clear that takfirism is not an Islamic product
or its own Islamic teachings, it is the thing that we must avoid. religion is
revealed to safeguard people with noble character to others. This
interpretation will precisely divide the ummah, while we are commanded to
cultivate unity in the practice of amar ma'ruf and against evil (Ali Imran
103-104).
